First, let me introduce myself. My name is Ivy Haight and I am eager to become a game changer for a top collegiate golf program. I am a two-sport athlete with a 4.0 GPA, a 1550 on the SAT (770 english, 780 math, 22 essay), a love for learning, and an unbreakable work ethic. My handicap improved from 18 to 3.7 since early 2018, and I won my first JGS tournament this summer. I am eager for my tournament scores to continue to drop as I enter more national events during my junior year. I have played at Sudden Impact Volleyball Club for the past five years on their top team as the starting right-side hitter (my team ranked as high as 4th in the nation). During Spring 2019 I perfected my time management skills with volleyball practice three times a week, volleyball tournaments nearly every weekend, and I filled the rest of my days with golf tournaments and practice time. I concluded my club volleyball career at nationals in July 2019, and have seen my golf scores start to drop drastically. Playing two sports - although it means I will be a late arrival to the national junior golf scene - has made me the person and teammate I am today. I have been on more teams than I can count and a captain in both sports at all levels. I take a rigorous course load at one of the top two college prep schools in the Northwest, I competed in the state DECA competition in two categories in 2019 and placed fourth at the state competition in 2020, I am on my school's Student Review Board, and through BuildOn club I helped raise enough money for a classmate to go to Malawi and build a school. What remains most important to me is how hard I work and how I treat others; among some of the awards I've received are "Most Dedicated," "Miss Charlie Hustle," "Hardest Worker," and "Most Improved."
