Living in a climate where “perfect golf weather” only occurs three months of the year has made me the gritty golfer I am today – bring on the rain and wind – I love to layer! As I mentioned, my handicap improved from 18 (in early 2018) to 3.7 and my tournament scores will continue to drop as I enter more national events during my junior year. This summer I placed 2nd in the WJGA Seattle District Champions shooting 79, 73 (5800 yds); and won my first JGS tournament shooting 76, 76 – tied for 1st after 36 holes - drove the 300+ yard green on the first playoff hole and sank the winning putt for eagle!!! I followed that up by shooting 78, 78, (5900 yds, 17th place) at the FCT San Diego Junior Amateur and also carded my first hole in one while winning our junior club championship. Playing two sports – although it means I will be a late arrival to the national junior golf scene – has made me the teammate I am today and will be a great asset to a top collegiate golf program. Some highlights and video links below.
